The NCCS faculty consists of 78 full-time teachers, who are supplemented by 46 apprentices, assistants, and part-time specialists. Well over half of the full-time teachers hold master's degrees, and our experienced faculty is among the most highly compensated in our area. The faculty reflects ethnic and religious diversity, as well as a blend of youth and maturity. To ensure continuing professional growth, the school subsidizes graduate study, sabbaticals and fellowship opportunities, as well as attendance at workshops and seminars. NCCS teachers are not merely well-qualified, however; they truly enjoy teaching and they truly enjoy their students.
Here at NCCS, great importance is placed on engendering a sense of community; our teachers are largely responsible for creating this positive learning environment. Teachers do much more than just instruct their students in the classroom - they coach students in athletics, accompany them on off- campus overnight trips, and advise them in extracurricular activities and student-run committees.
