WELCOME TO NEW CANAAN COUNTRY SCHOOL!

We are so glad you are here!

We are eager to hear about your hopes and dreams for your child as you consider your partners for their educational journey and formative years. At Country School, we value and respect childhood as an integral stage of life to be lived fully and happily. We also strive to create a school where every child and adult is seen authentically, their voice is heard, and their contributions are valued and enabled.

We hope you will visit our 85-acre campus on the corner of Ponus Ridge and Frogtown Road. We are a school that pulsates with the joyful sounds of childhood. As you walk through our indoor and outdoor learning spaces you hear the vivacious melody of deep connection and spirited exchange.

Our school day is designed for children, ages 3- to 15-year-olds, to have the time and space to connect meaningfully and think deeply. Our highly experienced and dedicated teachers are masterful at delivering a challenging curriculum that is hands-on and engaging, individualized and collaborative. Our diverse backgrounds and unique experiences invite lively exchange and thoughtful reflection that enrich and transform the collective experience for all.

Students thrive in our learning environment where high standards and high expectations live in concert with our commitment to wellness. By tending to the mind and the heart, the development of intellect and character, we ensure that your child’s academic growth and wellbeing are at the center of all that we do.

At the conclusion of the Country School experience, our graduates know themselves as learners and community members. They are leaders and advocates, who join their next educational community as confident and courageous contributors, curious and creative seekers, and kind and considerate friends. Investing in your child’s education is one of the most important decisions you will make. We are here to partner with you every step of the way. We look forward to beginning the conversation.

Warmly,
