Words of Advice Shared at Convocation

Country School Middle and Upper School students and faculty gathered on Sept. 9 for their annual convocation to start the school year.
“Achieving independence is one of the most indispensible qualities a student can develop,” said Middle School English teacher Lauren Romeo in her Invocation. “It requires that you trust those around, and more importantly, that you trust yourself.”

Next, ninth grade student speaker Bo Zeigler gave this advice to his classmates. “Go out of your comfort zone. Try new things, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes, as long as you get back up and try again.” (Watch the video)

Head of School Rob Macrae closed the convocation saying: “There is power in a collective purpose. We all play a part in shaping our school community through our actions and interactions every day.”
