Teachers and assistants monitor each child's growth and progress carefully, and they regularly keep in touch with parents through conferences and long narrative reports. Small classes facilitate group learning, project work, educational trips, and in-class activities that would be impossible to orchestrate for larger groups of children.
Students and teachers alike have access to vast educational resources and facilities including two on-line libraries, an audiovisual center and multimedia laboratory, three art studios, three music classrooms, a fully-equipped wood-working shop, four state-of-the-art science labs, a professional auditorium, two gymnasiums, seven playing fields and the school's own 35-acre nature center.
Close student-teacher rapport is at the heart of our program. The 6:1 student/teacher ratio ensures that each student benefits from close, individual attention in and out of the classroom. Opportunities for conferences and counseling are part of each student's regular schedule. While the general level of academic capacity in the student body is high, the school has the flexibility, the resources, and the commitment to individualized education to provide additional help should a child experience learning problems.
