|  | Introducing "Think Beyond"! New Canaan Country School offers an enrichment program for children in grades 4 through 6 that takes place on Saturdays during the winter and spring. Think Beyond offers challenging classes in a community based setting, drawing from the rich history of exemplary education that makes New Canaan Country School a leader in its field.
The course offerings at Think Beyond encourage intellectually curious learners to develop critical thinking skills and explore the world in new and different ways. By working with master teachers in small class settings and by utilizing state-of-the-art facilities across New Canaan Country School’s 75-acre campus, students at Think Beyond experience the excitement of individual learning, personal growth, and collaboration.

 Wondrous WordsGet ready to play with language, to experience the world through all your senses: Get ready to make a writer’s journal from scratch!  There is a place in each of us that flourishes in the presence of words. Words are like arrows. They point us toward truth, make us gasp in amazement, howl with laughter, or sob silver tears. Come and develop your creative skills while writing original stories, poems, and plays. We will share our work with each other and publish several pieces at a celebration during our final meeting. |

 | CSI Forensic What does it take to solve a crime?  Can you pay attention to the slightest detail to tell the difference between two partial fingerprints? Can you use observation and deduction to figure out who is telling the truth and who is lying? Come use your skills in the lab to see what a modern-day Sherlock Holmes would do to solve a crime. |

 | To Be or Not To Be? Shakespeare for Kids Discover the magic of Shakespeare by performing famous scenes from his timeless plays.  Whether a scary witch from Macbeth, the literal gravedigger from Hamlet, or a hilarious mechanical from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, learn how the poetry and humanity of Shakespeare’s characters make them just as alive today as they were 400 years ago. |
