Support

Welcome

Welcome From The Director Of Advancement

From New Canaan Country School’s beginning in 1916, our school has benefitted from strong philanthropic support from generations of parents, trustees, alumni, grandparents and friends. These gifts, both literally and figuratively, built Country School and help fulfill our aspiration to have the best teaching and learning community in the country for grades pre-K through Grade 9.

We are extremely fortunate to have a strong, active community of parents who volunteer their time and support our efforts to make our school curriculum ever more relevant for the 21st century. We are equally fortunate to have loyal alumni who support their “first alma mater” every year.

One hundred percent of our parents, 100% of our faculty and staff and 100% of our trustees contributed to the Annual Fund in 2015-2016. An impressive number of former parents and grandparents also contributed.

All gifts enhance and enrich the experience of our students and support the faculty. Please review the following pages where you will find detailed information about supporting Country School.

Thank you,

Profiles in Giving

Ways To Give

There are a number of ways to contribute to County School. Each means provides important and necessary support to the school and helps with our mission to "guide students to reach their intellectual, creative, moral and physical potential."

The Country School Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising campaign that provides direct and unrestricted support to the school's operating budget. It accounts for approximately 6 percent of the school's annual operating budget.

Capital and major gift fundraising initiatives are conducted under the careful oversight of the Board of Trustees and provide for the school’s long-term needs. Thanks to generations of Country School families, today’s 635 students thrive on our 75-acre campus and within two libraries, four art studios, six science labs and dozens of state-of-the art classrooms inspired by approximately 180 dedicated faculty and staff.

From establishing a bequest or charitable trust to other estate plans that benefit Country School, the generosity of our community through planned giving is essential to the future health of the school.
