Sixth Graders Present Persuasive Speeches

For the last few months, 6th graders have been working hard to research, write, and rehearse argumentative and informational speeches. Each student selected a topic about which they are passionate, including topics related to their families, communities and the world.
“Sixth grade speeches always feel like a capstone experience, but having the privilege of performing in front of a live audience made the event all the more celebratory,” said Grade 6 Teacher Brooke Kelly whose class performed the speeches in person for their parents and classmates.
