Margaret Marks Cluceru ’66

Margaret Louise Marks Cluceru, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born in Stamford on August 24, 1951 to the late Monroe and Patzy Hausmann Marks.

Margaret attended NCCS, Class of 1966, Low-Heywood, Class of 1969 and graduated the University of Arizona, Class of 1973. Margaret, side by side with her beloved husband Valentin, owned and operated NOBU Florist of Stamford for almost thirty years. She was a local "Jill of All Trades," starting at the age of 16 at the Cheese Shop on Elm Street, in New Canaan and also worked for FINEST at Bull's Head, Stamford Girl's Club (Greyrock Pl), YWCA, YMCA, Jewish Center(as a swimming teacher), CT National Bank, NML and Coldwell Banker, not necessarily in that order! Besides her beloved husband, Valentin Cluceru, Margaret is also survived by her loving children, Alexander Higle (Shu-Chuan), Heather Higle and Julia Cluceru, as well as her sweet and loving sister, Kathryn Ann Marks Cambriello (John Cambriello).

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, January 13, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Family and friends, who wish to, will memorialize Margaret at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
