Olympic Spirit Hits First and Second Grade!

The Olympic spirit has hit first and second grade!  In gym class, students have enjoyed special versions of bobsledding, biathlon, ski jumping, curling, super-G skiing and the team ski.
They split into groups and represented countries, which they chose themselves, including the Philippines, Norway, Canada and United Kingdom.

"There has been such great energy and enthusiasm, as the students are bursting with excitement to share the stories of triumph and heartache from the events they watched the night before," said Physical Education teacher Chantal Angelis. "We’ve been able to capitalize on the Olympic buzz and take the opportunity to teach and emphasis the values that make the Olympics so special, such as, playing by the rules, camaraderie, encouraging others, and being happy for the success of others."
