Boldly Forward, The Campaign for NCCS

Foundation Set, Steel Rising!

Since we broke ground on our Athletics & Wellness Center last spring, we have made significant progress. Construction crews have cleared the site, laid the concrete foundation, installed underground plumbing, and currently, they are erecting the steel structure.
The project is on track and the new center is scheduled to open for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

The new Athletics & Wellness Center will feature a two-court (which can be divided into four practice courts) basketball and volleyball gymnasium with retractable spectator seating, four squash courts, improved locker rooms for all of the athletes, an expanded fitness center, athletic training facilities, multi-purpose classrooms, and nearby a new, improved Horizons pool. More than what it contains, it is going to be a “game-changing” facility for our community and so many facets of our athletics and wellness program! Practice times will increase for several of our sports that will no longer have to travel to sites off-campus; we will be able to host more home games for the community to watch; many of our athletic facilities will finally be located together; and our entire campus will use the new building for small and large gatherings and for classes like physical education, dance and yoga.

Early support of our capital campaign has helped to bring this project to life, and we are grateful to all those who have already contributed. We look forward to engaging with the entire community as we continue to raise funds to complete this exciting new space on our campus.
