Athletics & Wellness Center Formally Opens with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Friday, May 13, the new Athletics and Wellness Center was formally opened with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. More than 170 alumni, parents, parents of alumni, current and former faculty and staff, and Trustees joined Head of School Aaron Cooper to honor teachers and staff - including several retiring teachers and staff members - and to officially cut the ribbon.
The incredible new Athletics and Wellness Center would not have been possible without the vision and leadership of the Board of Trustees – notably former Board President Randy Salvatore and former Board member Stephanie Bowling Zeigler ‘80 - school leadership, and so many members of the faculty and staff. And the new building truly would not have been possible without the support of the NCCS community. The Boldly Forward Capital Campaign was launched more than five years ago, and the incredibly generous community answered the call. Hundreds of donors have supported the Campaign to date, with gifts ranging from $50 to more than $3 million. And this year - the final year of the campaign - there were several ambitious fundraising goals established, and all were reached and exceeded. Community-wide support reached record levels during this campaign, and the Country School is grateful for each and every donation. A debt of gratitude is extended Campaign Chair Sharon Gibbons Teles ’88 for her leadership, as well as all of the members of the Advancement Committee for their invaluable help with the fundraising efforts.

If you are still interested in supporting the Campaign, it’s not too late to make a gift or pledge! Donors have already reserved dozens of squares for our Community Art Wall - thank you to all of our early supporters! Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this fun community effort. Squares are going quickly!
