Dr. Macrae's Biography

 
Dr. Robert P. Macrae came to Country School after having served as Head of School at Cincinnati Country Day School, a preK–12 school, for 11 years. He has also held several senior administrative roles at The Pingry School in Martinsville, N.J., including Assistant Headmaster, Head of the Middle School and Head of the Upper School. Dr. Macrae earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Teachers College-Columbia University; an M.A. in Educational Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University School of Education; and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics/Computer Science from Wesleyan University. Dr. Macrae has been an active community leader, having served on the Board of Trustees for Breakthrough Cincinnati and previously served on the Board of Trustees of the National Breakthrough Collaborative. He was also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools and served as the association’s president from 2010–2013 and vice president from 2008–2010. He enjoys pilates, golf and squash. He and his wife, Lynn, have four children, Donny, Timmy, Celia and Jenna.
