Community Service and Campus Beautification Gardening
US Art roomsGrab your gardening gloves and join the NCCS Community Service and Campus Beautification teams for our first Wednesday service project of the year. In addition to planting bulbs, we will create homemade garden pavers and paint wooden letter messages to help decorate the playground behind the LS. All divisions are welcome. AuditoriumWe are excited to host Ana Homayoun, author of the recently released book, Social Media Wellness: Helping Tweens and Teens Thrive in an Unbalanced Digital World. Ms. Homayoun, a frequent speaker at schools, regularly keynotes conferences on topics relating to executive functioning, student engagement, personal productivity and motivation, as well as overall wellness. She has been quoted or featured in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, USA Today, New York Post, ABC News, among others, and is a frequent guest on NPR. She will share solutions for navigating an ever-changing social media world. The 50-minute presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Light the Night
Harbor Point, StamfordFestivities kick off 5 p.m., Presentations begin 6:30 p.m.; Lantern walk at 7 p.m., Fireworks at 8 p.m.For the fourth year, Country School will participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk. As many of you know, we have participated in the event in the past alongside the Markes Family. We are looking for people to join us in raising $5,000 for LLS, and we want you to be one of our team members! As of today, we have reached 20 percent of our goal! Please REGISTER online.
