Eighth Grader Chosen for Western Regionals

Eighth grader Dania Zein was chosen to participate in the 2017 Connecticut Western Region Middle School Music Festival held March 17 and 18.
Dania was selected to participate following a competitive audition; her scores earned her the honor of performing with other talented musicians from throughout the Western Connecticut area. The festival, sponsored by the Connecticut Music Educators Association, was held at the Wilton High School.

This is the second year that Dania has played in the Philharmonia Winds ensemble of the Norwalk Youth Symphony, and she has played for two years with chamber ensembles (through Chamber Music Central in Westport).

“Dania is a talented and dedicated flute player,” said Country School Music Teacher Andrew Tyson.  “Her accompaniment for the Upper School’s musical, The Lion King, added such a wonderful dimension to that production.”
