Kindergarteners Explore Sunflowers

Kindergarteners spent the day in an interdisciplinary study of the sunflowers in bloom outside of their building.

Scientific skills were practiced including close observation and the asking of essential questions. Inside, watercolors recreated the beauty, vibrance and details of what they saw while descriptive words and thoughts were shared to capture the experience in the class's poetry journal.
