NCCS Falls to Brunswick

On Tuesday, NCCS boys hockey headed to Greenwich to take on Brunswick. The game was a great challenge as Brunswick showed great skill throughout the lineup. However, thanks to some great goaltending and opportunistic goal-scoring the Cougars headed into the final period with a one-goal lead. Sadly, the boys were unable to maintain this advantage and found themselves down one with only a minute remaining. After pulling the goalie for a chance to score the equalizing goal, NCCS lost the faceoff and Brunswick immediately scored on the empty net to earn the two-goal victory. Despite the disappointing result, this was a great learning opportunity and prepared the team well for the upcoming Upland Country Day tournament.
