Cougar Fight to the Finish in a Déjà vu Score

In their first home game of the season, the Cougars were hoping to get on the W sheet against Harvey. In the first half, both teams were playing a solid chess match of trying to identify what the other was doing and how they could be successful. Harvey had the advantage early, but solid play by Dominic Hartmann, Oliver Johnson and Justin Mims got the team going, despite trailing 11-5 at half.

The second half seemed was the tale of two quarters. Harvey was able to capitalize on turnovers and defensive mistakes by NCCS to push them ahead comfortably, 27-11. The fourth quarter was the best the team has played to date. Players were penetrating the gaps in the zone and finding the open player for the easy shot. Rigs Conze was great at distributing the ball, while Brandon Krongard, Brodie O'Connor and Matt Rivera were creating matchups difficult with a solid inside-out game. The team showed a lot of heart and closed the gapof the final score to 29-22.

The team is improving each day, but now looks to play at a consistent level throughout games in order to put themselves ahead.
