Cougars Show Grit in Thrilling Softball Opener Despite Narrow Loss
Despite falling short by just one run, our first softball game was an absolute thrill! The field was energized as Whitby took an early lead, scoring four runs in the first inning. However, our Cougars were not intimidated and fought back in the bottom of the first with determination, scoring three runs through solid and well-deserved hits. Whitby added two more runs in the second inning, but our team fiercely fought back, scoring two more runs in the third. Our hits were powerful, at-bats were impressive, and we executed some exceptional plays that got everyone on their feet. The girls had an absolute blast amidst the intensity, and their resilience shone through every inning. Even though the final score favored Whitby at 6-5, our girls played their hearts out, and that is a victory in itself.
