Road Trip to Rumsey Hall

The Cougars played an intense, fast-paced game on Wednesday against Rumsey Hall School, one of the best teams we've played so far this year. The girls stepped up to the challenge, generating shots on goal, battling for rebounds, and making crisp passes. Country School also played smart and resilient defense, and the score was 1-0 late in the second period. Goaltending on both sides was terrific. Rumsey's goalie was strong and deserves a lot of credit for the 3-0 shutout, shutting down a flurry of Cougar offense in the last 1:30 of the game (at least 6-7 shots on net) with our goalie pulled and extra skater on the ice. Despite losing the game, the coaches are proud of the progress the girls have made and the skills they have developed so far this season. We look to bounce back at home against Rippowam Cisqua next Tuesday.
