Deep Roots, Bright Futures

Our Campaign for People, Place & Program

New Canaan Country School is embarking on a new campaign to strengthen our endowment, enhance our outdoor learning spaces, and sustain our Annual Fund. Together, we are ensuring that every child at Country School can explore, grow, and thrive throughout their years on campus.

For more than 100 years, NCCS has been a leader in pioneering innovative childhood education. Rooted in a steadfast educational philosophy and a deep understanding of child development, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our students and families while staying true to our mission.

This campaign represents an important moment in our school’s history. By investing in our people, place, and program, we are building the foundation for a strong and vibrant future, so that Country School will continue to inspire students for generations.

This $30 million campaign will strengthen NCCS in four critical areas:
  • Endowment for Teachers & Programmatic Innovation
  • Endowment for Financial Aid & Sustainability
  • Enhanced Outdoor Learning Spaces
  • Continued Annual Fund Strength

Through the links below, we invite you to learn more about the early stages of the campaign and discover how we are reimagining outdoor learning spaces for our students.
Additional materials on our endowment priorities – Teachers & Programmatic Innovation and Financial Aid & Sustainability – will be shared as the campaign progresses. As a comprehensive campaign, this initiative will also include continued support for the Annual Fund throughout its duration.

Previous Campaigns

This new campaign builds on a long tradition of visionary capital giving at Country School.

NCCS, like most independent schools, relies on capital campaigns and major gift fundraising to build new facilities, renovate existing spaces, and purchase additional land or properties for faculty housing. The Board of Trustees votes to initiate a capital campaign, and members of the community are asked to support the effort. Capital campaign gifts are often multi-year commitments, and pledges may be paid over three to five years.

Capital giving is transformative. Donors who contribute to support critical building and infrastructure initiatives that advance the school's strategic priorities have a lasting impact on current and future generations of students.
