  • Program Info for Extended Day (Beginners through Grade 4)

Extended Day offers optional, high-quality childcare for students in Beginners through Grade 4. Families might choose this for a number of reasons, including to provide coverage while parents or guardians work or to give their child additional social playtime. We build a close neighborhood-like community with an emphasis on imaginative play along with outdoor time, sports, board games and art experiences. A snack is provided at 4:30 p.m. daily.

The Extended Day Program for Early Childhood students is held in the Thacher Building. Lower School students meet in the Welles Building. Extended Day for Grades 1–4 begins Wednesday September 3, 2025, and for Beginners and Kindergarten on Thursday September 11, 2025.

Extended Day meets from 3–5:30 p.m. Children may be picked up at any time during this window. Students who are eligible may take the 4:00 p.m. bus. Those staying beyond that time require pick-up.
