Join us for a special family presentation exploring how Netflix’s blockbuster K-Pop Demon Hunters tells stories that reflect the culture and traditions of Korea while also embodying universal messages of self-awareness, empowerment, and belonging.
Led by Katherine Kaneko, NCCS Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this interactive session looks beyond bright visuals and catchy music to uncover the Korean history, folklore, and symbolism woven throughout the movie. Through this lens, we’ll consider how stories from both Korea and the U.S. reveal who we are, what we value, and how we imagine the world.
Families can expect engaging visuals, short clips, and age-friendly discussion prompts, plus take-home resources such as a Korean Culture Bingo and a Mythology Match-Up comparing Korean and Western legends.
